Occupancy rate exceeded 98% in schools supported by TOBB, Chambers and Commodity Exchanges

Schools in 81 provinces selected within the scope of the Vocational Training Cooperation Protocol signed on 26 February 2019 between the Ministry of National Education, the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) and TOBB ETU have reached 98% occupancy rates.​

In the vocational and technical Anatolian high schools within the scope of the protocol, the educational processes are carried out mainly in foreign languages, R&D and design skills workshops are established and successful students are provided with scholarships. TOBB ETU experts coordinate the vocational courses and provide students with on-the-job training in members of TOBB affiliated Chambers and Exchanges.

Within the scope of the protocol, the quota of 77 schools out of 81 in 81 provinces, which provide training in many areas from motor vehicle technology to aircraft maintenance, supported by TOBB, Chambers and Commodity Exchanges, has been fully filled. The average occupancy rate of all programs within the scope of the protocol is 98.61%.

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that there is a strong coordination and cooperation with the Ministry of National Education in relation to vocational education and that industrialists will soon reap the fruits of this cooperation.

Hisarcıklıoğlu expressed his gratitude for the introduction of a new roadmap and cooperation projects in the 2023 Education Vision. He thanked the Minister of National Education Ziya Selçuk.

Hisarcıklıoğlu emphasized that the chambers and exchanges of TOBB in 81 provinces have played a major role in this project.
