In his speech during the visit, Hisarcıklıoğlu emphasized Balıkesir’s importance as one of Turkey’s breadbaskets as a center of agriculture-based industry.

Hisarcıklıoğlu said that Balıkesir Commodity Exchange is working for Balıkesir, congratulating them for acquiring geographical marker for the Balıkesir Lamb Meat. Hisarcıklıoğlu stated expressed the importance of rapid liberalization in agricultural policies, reporting that they would be establishing Turkey Specialized Products Exchange.
