Honorary Malatya Citizenship for Hisarcıklıoğlu

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu was granted an honorary citizenship by residents of Malatya. Hisarcıklıoğlu expressed his gratitude for the title. “I'm honored to be a citizen of Malatya, which has produced so many great individuals. I would like to thank all of my brothers and sisters from Malatya, especially our esteemed Mayor, Minister of Foreign Affairs, who have granted me this honor.”​

Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “It is a privilege to be a citizen of Malatya. They say ‘We have everything but traitors. This is one of the most beautiful sayings that describe Malatya. I was already closely related to Malatya. We have two brides from Malatya and have married a bride to Malatya. No one outside Malatya knows what ‘mişmiş’ means, but that is we have called apricots since childhood.”

The former Minister of Customs and Trade, Bülent Tüfenkci and Battalgazi Mayor Selahattin Gürkan presented the citizenship certificate to Hisarcıklıoğlu.
