Reporting that each year nearly 500 fairs held in Turkey, Hisarcıklıoğlu’s message is as follows:

“Every June, one day is celebrated all over the world as ‘World Fairs Day’ through efforts of the 36 members of the Global Fair Industry Association (UFI).

The main purpose of celebrating the World Trade Fairs Day is to highlight the positive contributions fairs have on the industry, trade, innovation and local investments.

Fairs organized in different cities in our country with the attendance of tens of thousands of companies host about 22 million visitors.

In our country, the fair sector provides a significant contribution to the fight against unemployment by providing full-time and part-time employment for thousands of people. Moreover, fairs contribute positively to many different sectors such as tourism, hospitality, transportation, catering and logistics.

On behalf of the Turkish Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges Board, I celebrate the World Fair Day of the fairs companies working for the development of the exhibition industry in Turkey.”
