Malatya will make the apricot 'brand'

Visiting Malatya Chamber of Commerce and Industry, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu pointed that the Malatya apricot has been registered, taking it a very big step towards branding kayısını. Hisarcıklıoğlu explained that the signing of licensed warehousing will also make an important contribution to the city's economy.​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu and the Minister of Customs and Trade Bülent Tüfenkci visited the Malatya Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chair Oğuzhan Ata Sadıkoğlu and council members, holding consultations. During the visit, TESK President Bendevi Palandöken, Malatya Commodity Exchange Chair Ramadan Özcan, Ak Party Deputy Chair Öznur Çalık and the chamber/exchange directors of neighboring provinces and counties were also present.


In his speech Hisarcıklıoğlu reported that dried apricots licensed warehousing is a first in Turkey and that important signatures have been set down for it in Malatya with goods being stored free of rent. Hisarcıklıoğlu said that the products will be stored here in hygienic condition and will be preserved permanently, while the bill issued here will be valid in all parts of the world. TOBB President, “When you need it, you only need to transfer the bill. Mechanism found in modern agricultural societies will also be here. You know that the Malatya apricot is registered. This was a big step for the apricot to be a brand. You cannot make money without a brand.”


- Vocational high school for Malatya


TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that they have build an İmam-Khatip high school in Malatya as TOBB and that they also promise a vocational high school with the intervention and efforts of Minister Tüfenkci.
