28.03.2018 / Ankara

18 chambers / commodity exchanges and 2 branch offices and 96 chambers / commodity exchanges with completed document renewal inspections in the 13th period were awarded with the certificates of accreditation at the ceremony organized at TOBB Conference Hall.

The ceremony began with the opening speeches of the Minister of Customs and Trade Bülent Tüfenkci and TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu.

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu began his speech by praying for the grace of Allah upon our martyred soldiers during Operation Olive Branch in Afrin, expressing that they will declare respite credits in İzmir on Saturday and said, “From Monday, we will provide low interest credits for our members.”

Indicating that, 99% of chamber and commodity exchange elections will be completed throughout Turkey by April 15th and that every period is a success story; Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “One of your success stories in period is the work on accreditation. When I came to office there was no quality- and customer-oriented quality understanding in the community of chambers and commodity exchanges union. We negotiated with Union of Chambers of England, the most experienced in the world. They came here and trained us. Thanks to the training, we became an accredited institution. We first disciplined ourselves and then started to spread these trainings to the whole country. In 2002, there was not a chamber that could write a project. The number of chambers that have language skills was five. Today, thankfully, our chambers and our commodity exchanges have generated projects totaling a sum of 800 billion TRY.”

Bülent Tüfenkci, Minister of Customs and Commerce said, “Thanks to the chambers and the commodity exchanges, all company establishments will be carried out by the trade registers. It will be much better than the past and we will see the positive reflections.
