01.03.2018 / Alaplı / Zonguldak

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu said in his speech at the Alaplı Economics Value Awards Ceremony organized by Alaplı Chamber of Commerce and Industry, “We will start a second run of the TOBB Respite Credit with the Prime Minister, after March 15th, and hopefully we will get secure access to credit for our members. There is a lack of information, so I will tell you that there is no need to apply to the Credit Guarantee Fund. You can complete all necessary work through the bank.”

The TOBB President pointed out that the government is providing support to the minimum wage and has relieved them of the TRT tax burden. Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “We reset the estate tax in OIZs. Municipalities have complained against this. However, industrialists have no chance to compete otherwise. Stamp taxes have been removed throughout the world. Thankfully we followed suit. A total of a billion liras in taxes was relieved from industrialists billion in Turkey.”

TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu pointed out that the index of ease of business is important for local and foreign investors; “Turkey is at a position unbecoming of its potential. We are among the world's 20 largest economies, but we rank 60th in ease of business index. Why don’t people want to be entrepreneurs? There are many obstacles to doing business. We met with our government. You will see, in 2 years Turkey will be among the top 20 countries in ease of business index. The law which was passed yesterday was revolutionary for us.”
