Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “Tekirdağ is the home of 3 Kemals in my opinion. Patriot and poet Namık Kemal, Tekirdağ deputy and poet Yahya Kemal and the commander of the 19^th Division founded in Tekirdağ which opened the way to victory in Çanakkale, Mustafa Kemal. May the grace of Allah be upon all of our veterans and martyrs, may heaven be their abode. May Allah grant us the strength to protect our inheritance, our land, our homeland, and for us to be worthy of them.”

Emphasizing that Tekirdağ should be proud, Hisarcıklıoğlu recalled that the city is the second Turkey in literacy and is among the top 10 provinces in development.

TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “A world famous business magazine has done the research. According to it, among the best cities for business and habitability, Tekirdağ is in 4th place after Istanbul, Ankara and İzmir. In fact, we see the reflection of all of these: Look at the number of Tekirdağ companies in the top 1000 industrial establishments in Turkey. Ten years ago, there were 8 companies, now the number has risen to 20. You are also in the leading cities of Turkey with 13 OIZs. You are exporting to 6 continents and 146 countries. Not only in industry but also in agriculture. 33% of sunflower, 66% of Kanola is produced here. I am proud of Tekirdağ and our Tekirdağ entrepreneur brothers who performed so well. I am proud of you and applaud you all. The Governor and Mayor of Tekirdağ work together with the private sector for the development of Tekirdağ. I thank them for their exemplary attitude and vision. Another good event is the joint ceremonies of the Chamber and Exchange. If there is unity in one place, your will not easily know defeat.”

Pointing out that the stock exchange of Tekirdağ room is also accredited, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “They offer services on par with European quality. The Chamber and Exchange have also carried these achievements to TOBB. Chairman Cengiz Günay is a prize for not only Tekirdağ but also for Turkey. He is a colleague in TOBB administration, working together. He has contributed greatly to TOBB has reaching a high level in its services. Chairman Cengiz is also a part of TEPAV’s administration, Turkey's largest think tank. He advises both the private sector and the public sector, drawing a road map.

Likewise, Commodity Exchange Chairman Osman Sarı is the acting chair of, UMAT, the 80-year-old customs and tourism enterprises established by Atatürk and partnered by TOBB-Chamber-Exchanges. In addition, he represents TOBB in the expert body of the Turkish private sector in EU matters, IKV.
