Noting that the Sivas Commodity Exchange, with 25 years behind it, TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “We present awards to our entrepreneurs who have been engaged in agriculture and animal husbandry as members of the exchange for 25 years. The Sivas Commodity Exchange has been working for 25 years in Sivas to further develop agriculture and animal husbandry. With its laboratory, it offers every service to its member with its sales room. Moreover, Sivas is an accredited commodity exchange providing 5-star service. Now they have set themselves a target: they will build a new commodity exchange complex. It will include a commodity exchange service, a livestock commodity exchange, a wheat commodity exchange, a rough feed and grass commodity exchange. This is a matter of vision. This is how you serve your members.”

- Sivas continues to produce in agriculture and animal husbandry

Hisarcıklıoğlu congratulated the Chairman of the Stock Exchange Abdulkadir Hastaoğlu, the management, the council and his employees for the services they provide and thanked Hastaoğlu who also served as the TOBB Tax Commission Chair.

TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu reminded that Sivas is the place where the foundations of the Republic were laid. “We celebrated the 98^th anniversary of 4^th September Sivas Congress 3 days ago. Sivas has a very significant and important place in our history. Sivas is a historical and cultural city. There is important tourism potential. Hopefully it will attain a greater share of tourism with the high-speed train. Sivas is especially important for us with the production of transportation infrastructure and the production in agriculture and livestock. In Turkey, the number of registered farmers decreased by 1% compared to the previous year. It increased by 6% in Sivas. Sivas continues to produce in agriculture and animal husbandry. Already the figures confirm the leadership of Sivas.

There are 2 important issues that we neglect in agriculture and animal husbandry. One is partnership, the other is value added production.”

- Do not neglect partnerships; add value to your products

In his speech, Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that partnership culture has been neglected. “You will produce more, produce for less and sell more,” and recommended that the produced absolutely have added value. Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “Do not sell the product that you have obtained from the field. Preserve your values by trademarking and geographical marking. Sivas Hand Carpet and Sivas Meat are registered. Sivas Katmeri has also been applied for. After registering in Turkey, it is also registered in the EU. Later, all these products will be referred to Sivas in Europe.”

Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “They say ‘the air of Sivas is hard; its people good.’ In a really difficult region, you are working for Sivas and our country. I heartily congratulate you and your esteemed entrepreneurs. Have we no troubles? Of course we do. But we are strong enough to overcome all these troubles as long as we are in unity and solidarity. As long as we do not fight each other. Together, we will put our country among the top 10 economies of the world where we deserve it.”
