TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, together with the Minister of Customs and Trade Bülent Tüfenkci, attended the Ürgüp Economic Value Contributors Award Ceremony. Speaking at a meeting hosted by Ürgüp Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chairman Ahmet Aydın, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “If the entrepreneur is strong, the city will be strong and the nation will be strong. To this end, our public administration, politicians, and this community should be the first to embrace these people.”

TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that Cappadocia is a unique region where nature and history are united. “There is a world treasure under your hand. Now, they do not know Kayseri so much abroad. When asked where to go, I say Cappadocia and everyone knows. I am honored to be among you today. Thank you very much, my brother, Ahmet Aydin who brought us together in this very meaningful ceremony. Because that is what makes me the proudest: This atmosphere. These events are what make me proudest of this community. Business life is already difficult. However, you will both survive and succeed. This is not everyone's mettle. Everybody should know the value of the companies who will receive much deserved awards here today.”

- Entrepreneurs pride of the country

Hisarcıklıoğlu underlined that entrepreneurs are the treasures of the city and the country and congratulated the Ürgüp CCI for organizing the event. Hisarcıklıoğlu said that Ürgüp CCI has accomplished many important endeavors, saying: “Chairman Aydın also represents TOBB at the CCI General Assembly. They’ve produced a very good job guide. It promotes Ürgüp and you both. I visited your booth at one of Turkey's biggest fairs, YÖREX (Regional Products Fair). There was a lot of interest in the famous milk-roasted pumpkin seeds. You are opening Entrepreneurship Courses with the Akhis Development Agency. To support artisans, you are organizing the Embrace the Artisans Project. You’re strong in social publications and are constantly helping students who have poor financial situations. Taking many students on Çanakkale trips, showing them how difficult these lands were won. Because of this active work tempo, I congratulate the chamber, management, council, professional committees, employees and wish them continued success.”
