TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu attended the TOBB Secretaries General Briefing Meeting and addressed the secretaries general of chambers / commodity exchanges.​

Hisarcıklıoğlu said that they are a single family as a community in 81 provinces and 160 counties and that they are the only professional organizations representing companies, entrepreneurs from all sectors of Turkey.


Stressing that the power of TOBB comes from the unity and solidarity of each member, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “Our union, our power and our effectiveness is the difference of this community. It separates us from other institutions; it is the greatest feature that brings us to the fore.”


Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “With great power, comes great responsibility. We must make good use of this power and responsibility entrusted to us. This is both our legal and moral duty; our responsibility. If you do successful things, we will succeed. All of our strength and reputation will increase. So, our task is to prepare you for your tasks in the best way and equip you with the best information.”


TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu said that the TOBB community is Turkey's most democratic institution, and that in recent elections, there have been newly elected administrations in almost half of all chambers and commodity exchanges, and about two-thirds in terms of delegates.


Hisarcıklıoğlu reminded that there will be elections in provinces and counties in October and November, and he emphasized that these elections are not a race to win positions, but a flag race on the road to serving the community and Turkey.


Hisarcıklıoğlu said that the chamber / commodity exchanges system in Turkey is an example in the world and that it has become a model with its services and its institutional structure.


Speaking at the opening of the meeting, TOBB Secretary General Mustafa Saraçöz provided information about the contents of the training for secretaries general participating in the event.
