- Developments in the world

Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that the world is in an interesting time, “Britain's decision to leave the EU, Brexit; increasing terrorism in Europe and the rise of extremism; the United States presidential election are on the forefront of the global agenda. The global economy still has not regained its pre-crisis levels. Moreover, we are facing the growing danger of protectionism. The new administration in the United States, rising populism in elections in Europe; Pro-conservative policies. While these are happening in the world, we are still surrounded by the most tumultuous region in the world. Syria and Iraq have been in chaos for years. In the meantime, terrorist organizations, which are purportedly not related to each other, target our country in unison. But the most important event happened on July 15th. Our nation and our government have skirted the edge of the precipice after a treacherous and brutal coup attempt. This nation stood tall and defeated the putschists.”
