“You cannot grow economies without a woman's hand”

07.03.2017 / Ankara

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, in his March 8th World Women's Day address, stated that the most developed civilizations of the world are the societies that give women the highest value and believe in their power.

Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that it is not possible for women to grow economies without touching.

Hisarcıklıoğlu's message is as follows:

“Our women, who make the earth beautiful and hospitable, have the greatest power when walking towards bright tomorrows. The Turkish business community has always believed in the role of women.

The understanding that encourages women to be among the most important actors of the economy and encourages entrepreneurship is the greatest contribution to this country. It is unacceptable to ignore such great work and mental power.

That is why we take great care of the Women Entrepreneurs Council we established at TOBB. If we are going to be among the biggest economies of the world, we can only do this when there is a woman's hand in the economy.

We know that they have the heart and the power to govern the house, be a mother, have a career. Let none doubt that our life partner, our mother, our daughter or our friend possesses this power.

They wrote a great epic on July 15th. They were at the forefront of that dark attempt by the FETO terrorist organization. They struggled to defend democracy at the expense of their lives, while some were injured.

We applaud each and every one of them; we want a a world where violence ends and women are much more active in the economy and social life.

On behalf of the Turkish business community, I once again congratulate all of our women on this meaningful day and extend my love and respect.”
