Hisarcıklıoğlu stated the following statements: 

“We, on behalf of the Turkish private sector, thank Mr. Naci Ağbal, our Minister of Finance, for the tax deductions he disclosed in order to ensure a revitalization in the markets. These reductions, which TOBB as well as our chambers and commodity exchanges have expressed have advocated for, have been very satisfactory with our business world.

We expect special consumption tax and VAT reductions applied to home appliances and furniture sectors to trigger demand for durable consumption goods which have been prevented for a long time ago. In addition, the removal of stamp tax on property sales will ensure that a problematic tax practice we have been talking about in the construction and real estate sectors will be relegated to the pages of history.

The preparation of the tax reduction of 5 points for those who regularly pay their taxes declared by our Finance Minister today is also a development that our business world has been waiting in hope for years. We would like to express our gratitude in this regard and once again thank our Government on behalf of the Turkish private sector for all these reductions.”
