Aksaray’s agri-goods to open up to the world

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, along with Customs and Commerce Minister Bülent Tüfenkci, attended the foundation laying ceremony for the livestock market in Aksaray and the opening of the Aksaray Commodity Exchange Agriculture and Commerce Headquarters.​

Hisarcıklıoğlu said in his speech that he comes to Aksaray always for good causes, expressing his wish that the opening and foundation ceremony lead to benefits for the city. Stating that Aksaray is a recognized brand for many products, chiefly sugarcane, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “The important thing is to be able to market this to the world. This center will look into this matter.”

 

- Product-specialized exchanges on the way

 

Pointing to the importance of an electronic system for exchanges, the TOBB President stated that the foundation for that is based in product-specialized exchanges. Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that the long awaited news in regards to product-specialized exchanges is very near after 12 years.

 

Stating that Aksaray will open up to the whole world with its agricultural goods, TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “Aksaray will become a recognized brand in not only production but also commerce.” Stating that the city is once again becoming a center of attraction, Hisarcıklıoğlu emphasized that there are important advances in not only agriculture but also industry. Hisarcıklıoğlu reported that the number of investments into OIZs have reached 250 from a paltry 54 of years ago. “Turkey is complaining about the lack of jobs while Aksaray is complaining lack of personnel to hire. How did Aksaray manage this? Through unity and solidarity.” Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that the city is lacking in regards to water management, railroads and an airport.

Customs and Commerce Minister Bülent Tüfenkci stated that product-specialized exchanges would be brought to life in short order. Stressing the importance of exchanges in actualizing value generation from agriculture, Minister Tüfenkci drew attention to the city’s most urgent demand in regards to water, stated that he would take it upon him to seek a solution to this issue.
