Visiting CNN Türk’s Ankara Office to convey his condolences for the events of the coup attempt, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “I would like to congratulate you for taking initiative. The Turkish business community has expressed admiration for CNN’s role during the events and I am likewise happy with your conduct. I would like to congratulate you.”

Stressing the fact that it is absolutely necessary to unearth everyone who sided with the traitors during the coup attempt, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “But as the Turkish business community, we agree with the Minister in that this procedure must be conducted with surgery-like precision because if we scare away capital we will be damaging the future of this country.”

Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that there may be individuals who previously were a part of the group but were disillusioned and left, and that these people should be given a new opportunity.

Stating that they’ve called on the Turkish business community, the TOBB President said, “We’ve contacted all of our members, urging them to inform their foreign contacts in regards to the facts of the developments in Turkey, which they’ve done.”
