Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

Recent developments in the Turkish economy and international markets were discussed during the meeting attended by TOBB President Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu; he stressed the importance of relations with the Ministry of Economy, expressing his pleasure in having cooperated with the Ministry of Economy as TOBB throughout many of their endeavors.

Reporting that TOBB has formed the Communication and Coordination Desk for Russian Affairs in order to address the recent developments in regards to the relations with Russia.

Economy Minister Mustafa Elitaş emphasized the need for all parts of the economy to work in unison in order to reach the 2023 export goals. Minister Elitaş stated that TOBB is doing an exemplary job in this regard and said other institutions should take note.

Also attending the meeting were TOBB Board Vice Presidents Halim Mete, İbrahim Çağlar, Ali Kopuz, TOBB Board Treasurer Faik Yavuz, TOBB Board Members Şahin Bilgiç, Salih Zeki Murzioğlu, İbrahim Burkay, Necdet Özer, Cengiz Günay, Memiş Kütükcü, Bülent Karakuş and Yahya Toplu as well as the province and county chamber-exchange presidents of Kayseri, Nevşehir, Yozgat, Sivas, Kırşehir and Niğde.

During the meeting, Hisarcıklıoğlu presented Minister Ertaş with a copy of the Book of Dede Korkut published by TOBB.
