“As a nation, we face events which wound us deeply.

We pray for the grace of Allah upon everyone who lost their lives during the attack which took place today and extend our condolences to our nation.

We vehemently condemn this heinous attack which has plunged us into sorrow. We condemn all acts of terror.

The only aim of this attack is to disrupt the unity and solidarity of our nation.

Violence has reached a peak with the recent bombings, prompting a need to check all measures which serve to maintain the safety of our citizens and to find the culprits of this act of terror are of vital importance for the public.

We urge our nation to remain cool headed throughout this process and refrain from acts which would fuel conflict.

Come; let’s put forth our common sense. Let’s all listen to our consciences. Let’s reject those who would sow the seeds of sedition among us.

The best answer to this kind of attacks is to show that we stand united as a nation.

This homeland, this country, this flag belongs to us all.

No matter what our roots, identities and beliefs are, all 78 million of us are brothers and sisters.

This is the day to protect our democracy, unity and solidarity.

This is the day to say no to terror and yes to solidarity.
