Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu reported that the importance of the Bandırma Seaport will increase greatly with the Great Anatolia Logistics Organizations (BALO) project. In his speech, Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that agriculture and animal husbandry will become prominent in the future and that the Bandırma Commodity Exchange’s storehouses will gain importance in this regard.

Stating that both the chamber and exchange in Bandırma are both accredited, TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “Whatever services chamber members in Europe receive so do those here.”

Reminding that the Bandırma Chamber of Commerce President Osman Kocaman is also the Turkish-Morocco Business Council President, Hisarcıklıoğlu praised the works of both the Bandırma Chamber of Commerce and the Commodity Exchange. He also thanked the Balıkesir Chamber of Industry and DEİK Executive Board President Rona Yırcalı for his successful works.

- Dreams should become goals

Stating that as long as unity and solidarity is maintained, Bandırma will achieve success, Hisarcıklıoğlu asked that the Balıkesir-Bandırma rivalry brings about competition as well as solidarity.

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that there can be no success without dreams and that dreams must become goals. Suggesting that Balıkesir and Bandırma set themselves goals, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “If Balıkesir’s goal is to become Turkey’s number one, I’ll say it clearly, it has the potential to do so.”

- The Bandırma Presidents’ shared request is a school

Bandırma Commodity Exchange President Halit Sezgin stated that he believes Bandırma will become the country’s most important logistics center. Bandırma Chamber of Commerce President Osman Kocaman stated that there are a large number of economic activities present in the city, which acts as a natural protection against sectoral crises.

Kocam and Sezgin’s joint request from the TOBB President was for a school. TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu promised to provide the education if they built the school.
