International business community convened in Davos to assess G20 agenda

Representatives of the international business community convened at the G20 Agenda Development meeting hosted by B20 Turkey presided by TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu. Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that new ideas would contribute to the development of G20’s agenda.​

B20 Turkey, led by TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, organized a meeting during the World Economic Forum hosted each year in Davos, Switzerland. During the meeting, G20’s priorities and methods to increase B20 and G20 cooperation were discussed.

 

The opening speech and closing speech were given by Prime Minister Deputy Ali Babacan and Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu respectively. Speaking during the meeting, B20 Turkey and TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that Davos is a very suitable environment for fresh ideas.

 

Asking that attendees focus on the priorities of B20 Turkey: inclusivity, feasibility of suggestions and investments for growth, Hisarcıklıoğlu emphasized that they would be able to develop G20’s agenda and address the basic global issues effecting us today.

 

B20 Task Force Coordination Chiefs Güler Sabancı, Ferit Şahenk, Hüsnü Özyeğin and Ali Koç shared their observations in regards to commerce, infrastructure investments, financing growth, battling corruption and employment.

 

Coca Cola CEO Muhtar Kent also made general observations.
