“The city to start the 4th industrial revolution in Turkey is Kayseri”

The 2013 Kayseri Industry Night organized by the Kayseri Chamber of Industry (KAYSO) was held with the attendances of TOBB president M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu and the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Taner Yıldız.​

Speaking at the event –the 14th annual event celebrating the 48 anniversary of its foundation, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, congratulated the Kayseri Chamber Directors and Members.

 

Stating that the Kayseri Chamber of Commerce has made the event into a tradition, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “This event which brings together the industrialists, its consistency is cause for congratulating the Directors, Council President and the council.”

 

Addressing Minister Yıldız in regards to the Turkish Current project, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “We are proud to have a minister from Kayseri sign a project which is so very important for the future of the country.

 

This will not end here. The wheels are turning rapidly especially due to technology. We are greatly proud of this. This is our driving force. We must be careful of one thing: There is great competition between nations. We have 4 universities in Kayseri. The world is talking about the 4th industrial revolution. The city which will start the 4th industrial revolution in Turkey is Kayseri. Let us all work together as residents of Kayseri to move towards the 4th industrial revolution.”

Minister Yıldız stressed that the income disparity problem encountered throughout the world is a regime problem.  The minister went on to speak on various issued related to energy and resources including the country’s electricity production capacity, impact on the environment as well as market shares of conflicting sector interests.

Giving the opening speech of the event, Kayseri Chamber of Industry President Mustafa Boydak expressed their hopes that the Turkish economy will grow by 5-6% in the coming year, emphasizing that Turkey has the potential to bring this about. Thanking the government for the structural reforms they’ve undertaken, Boydak urged the strengthening of the financial resources available to companies.

 

Kayseri Governor Orhan Düzgün thanked the industrialists, stating that every factory opening is an indication of increasing exports as well as providing employment for youth.

 

Following the speeches, Energy and Natural Resources Minister Taner Yıldız, TOBB president Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu and Kayseri Governor presented awards to company representatives for production, exports and taxes in 2013.
