Hisarcıklıoğlu visited the ministers of Environment, Transportation and Industry

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu and the TOBB Board of Directors members accompanying him visited the Environment and Urbanism Minister İdris Gülcü, Maritime Affairs and Telecommunication Minister Lütfi Elvan and the Science, Industry and Technology Minister Fikri Işık to congratulate them on their recent appointments.​
During the meeting, TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu and the Ministers exchanged views.

- Hisarcıklıoğlu, “We have much work to do together”

TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu, during his speech at the visit to the Science, Industry and Technology Minister Fikri Işık, touched on the subject of the Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology’s cooperation with TOBB, and went on to state that in view of the developments and investments of recent years, the Turkish private sector and industry has become the largest industry giant between Italy and China.

Stating that Turkey is the largest industrial country in its region, Hisarcıklıoğlu drew attention to the fact that 94% of Turkey’s 150 billion USD export volume is comprised of industrial goods. Underlining that 50% of this is exported to the EU and the USA, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “In this regard, we have much work to do together. As the Science, Industry and Technology Ministry opens the way for us we, as the private sector, will enter the field and achieve Turkey’s 2023 goal of becoming one of the top 10 economies of the world.”

- “Turkey is no rudderless vessel”

The Science, Industry and Technology Minister Fikri Işık said, “No longer is Turkey a rudderless vessel. Turkey has a government focused on the 2023 goals.”

Işık emphasized that the Ministry and TOBB should work together more often and expressed that the visit holds great importance for him.
