Stating the importance of Diyarbakır, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “Being here for the Diyarbakır Promotion Days gives me great pleasure. Promoting Diyarbakır is very important as it is one of Turkey’s most important cities. I would like to present my thanks to everyone who had a hand in the making of this fair and our Board Member Fahrettin Akyıl.”

Visiting each booth at the Fair, Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that he was overjoyed to see banners featuring the Diyarbakır ramparts and himself at the Diyarbakır Commodity Exchange booth.

TOBB Board Member and Diyarbakır Commodity Exchange (DTB) President Fahrettin Akyıl stated that, as the Exchange Administration Council members, they are attending to each guest, “We have expended every effort in order to promote our province. The City of Civilizations Diyarbakır magazine we prepared has garnered great interest, while Tanrıkulu Coppersmithing has sold approximately 10,000 mementos.

Stating that there have been slight problems during the fair, DTB President Fahrettin Akyıl said, “These provide us with experience. We will better promote our province with fewer problems.”

After the speeches, TOBB Board Member and DTB President Fahrettin Akyıl and Exchange Deputy President Engin Yeşil presented TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu and TOBB Board Member Arif Parmaksız with wrought copper coffee sets. Guests were offered Diyarbakır licorice sherbet.
