Hisarcıklıoğlu emphasized that while we have 14 % increase in industrial production, the increase in intermediate goods imports is 35 % excluding energy.
TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu wished all the blessings to İTO for its 129th anniversary.
Hisarcıklıoğlu wished recovery to ITO regarding the judicial process concerning the claims on bribery and thanked the Assembly for their solidarity. He indicated TOBB showed the same kind solidarity with its 365 Chambers and Commodity Exchanges and underlined that a person could only identify his or her friends and foes during difficult times.
Hisarcıklıoğlu said that Turkish economy means Istanbul and added; “This increases your responsibility here. Do not be drowned in the daily problems of Turkey, look into the future.”
Hisarcıklıoğlu, indicated that Turkish private sector has entered the stage of registered economy and as employment increased by1 million 100 thousand 980 thousand people are officially employed, which means that registered employment is almost at 90%.He also emphasized the importance of women and young entrepreneurship.
He also said we need to focus on areas that we can change, instead of wasting our attention elsewhere.
Hisarciklıoğlu indicated that the draft on retail trade is expected to be made law as there is the need to regulate the current situation.
TOBB president invited the companies to be involved in public offerings as well.
He pointed that the most important problem of Turkey is “the problem of having no profession” due to the imperfections in vocational training structure.
İTO President Murat Yalçıntaş on the other hand said that they are celebrating the 129th anniversary of İTO. He reminded the words of Mevlana; “Turn to yourself, say a word and let the world be renewed. Say such a word that would transcend the boundaries of the world” and wished that 2011 would be such a year.
Yalçıntaş said that today they are not only hosting the President of TOBB, but a friend and thanked Hisarcıklıoğlu not only for the support he has given to the Turkish private sector but to İstanbul, ITO and himself during the difficult times they had recently, and considered this to be a noble act.
