Speaking to businessmen in Boyabat, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu pointed out the importance of innovation and invention, saying, “We must nurture generations who will bring about innovation.”
Attending the opening of the Boyabat Chamber of Commerce and Industry, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu conducted a presentation on “What should Boyabat focus on”.
Stating Boyabat needs to open up to foreign investments, TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu said that transportation costs more so than production are crippling the manufacturers. Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that the county of Boyabat could easily find markets for its rice and brick with a railroad. Calling out to tradesmen to unite and institutionalize, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “Transportation is a must if you are to bring your goods to market. Transportation is crippling manufacturers. Railroad or alternative means of transport built here will add value to your goods and brand them. Unite in order to grow and achieve an institutional identity.”
- Incentive to carry goods to port
Stating that the most important incentive for Boyabat as announced by the government in the latest incentives package is the incentive to carry goods to port, Hisarcıklıoğlu went on, “We don’t have the means to compete with the large companies here. We must carry our goods to ports in the shortest way possible. This will ameliorate the situation.”
Also attending the opening of the new service building of the Boyabat Chamber of Commerce and Industry in addition to TOBB President Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu were Sinop Governor Ahmet Cengiz, Boyabat Governor Ünal Çakıcı, Municipality Director Mehmet Ermiş, Commerce and Industry Chamber President Süleyman Mutlu, members and tradesmen of Boyabat.
Afterwards, Hisarcıklıoğlu visited the Boyabat Municipality President Mehmet Ermiş in his office, also attending the opening of a hotel in the county.
