The death of Sabri Ülker, a doyen of the business world, has deeply saddened us all

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, in his message regarding the passing of the founder of the Ülker Group, doyen of the Turkish business world, Sabri Ülker, said, “I am greatly saddened by the passing of our elder Sabri Ülker, who contributed greatly to Turkey’s economy.”
In his message, Hisarcıklıoğlu said:
“We have learned to our great sorrow that the founder and Honorary President of the Ülker Group and one of the first generation industrialists of our Republic, DEİK Board Member Murat Ülker’s estimable father, Sabri Ülker has passed away. Starting his adventure in production in the 1940’s, Sabri Ülker has contributed greatly to Turkey’s economy with one of the largest establishments of Turkey with the Ülker Group. Sabri Ülker’s success in the business world can serve as a role model to everyone.
On behalf of the Turkish business world I pray for the grace of Allah upon Sabri Ülker and present my condolences to his family and loves ones as well as our business world.”
