In İstanbul for the Alliance of Civilizations meeting, Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati and TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu assessed the latest developments in the Middle East and stated that attaining stability in the region would increase the trade of both countries.​

TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu stated during the meeting that they have extensive experience regarding organized industry zones and that they are ready to share this experience with Lebanese businessmen.

Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati pointed out that joint marketing strategies in the field of tourism could be developed and urged Turkish businessmen to invest more in Lebanon.
