Attending the Contributors to the Kırıkkale Economy Awards Ceremony were TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu, TBMM National Defense Commission President Kırıkkale Parliament Representative Oğuz Kaan Köksal, Kırıkkale Governor Hakan Yusuf Güner, Kırıkkale Chamber of Commerce and Industry Cemalettin Akdoğan and Kırıkkale Commodity Exchange President Harun Sümer and businessmen from Kırıkkale.

In his speech, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu pointed out that the present system needs to change, “Construction starts from the foundation. The foundation of this is the constitution. The parliament has given us their word. We need to change our constitution for a stronger economy and higher quality democracy.”

Assessing Turkey’s economy, Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that Turkey has come to export the same amount per week what it took a whole year to export 30 years ago. Hisarcıklıoğlu, putting special emphasis on the issue of entrepreneurship, requested that the successes of young and women entrepreneurs are retold in order to provide role models for future generations.

Stating that beneficent traders are on level with martyrs, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “The most beneficent of men is he who is beneficent to others. Today, it is people who provide employment and sustenance who the most beneficent. This is why entrepreneurship is so important.”

- Kırıkkale could be a production center with the new Incentives Law

Stating that the new Incentives Law holds many opportunities, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “There is an extraordinary opportunity for Kırıkkale to be a production center. Ankara is a class 1 zone while Kırıkkale is class 4. This is a great opportunity to pull in investors in Ankara.”

Hisarcıklıoğlu reported that, as part of the new incentives, the government is paying 5 points of the 12 point interest and that those investing in OIZs receive a 40% support and went on, “The government is saying don’t give me taxes so long as you invest. We worked together on the formation of this law. This is a great opportunity.”

Urging that the residents of Kırıkkale shouldn’t stand still but work to bring in investors to their province, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “You should promote your province through the power born from unity and solidarity.”

Providing information regarding the Kırıkkale economy in his speech, Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that Kırıkkale has many opportunities and said, “Ankara with consumption of 5 million is right beside you. Produce so that you may profit. You stand at the meeting point of 43 provinces.

- Promise of a faculty for Kırıkkale

TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu affirmed the reqests of the city’s opinion leaders regarding the establishment of a faculty of TOBB-ETU in Kırıkkale. Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “We will open a faculty here but only if you also make an effort; only if we all support this endeavor together. If you work together with your governorship, municipality and business, then I promise we will be a part of this.” Following this, a businessmen declared that he would donate the land for it, congratulated by Hisarcıklıoğlu, who emphasized that there should be competition in philanthropy as well as profits.

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu also visited the Kırıkkale Governor Hakan Yusuf Güner during his Kırıkkale visit. Stating that the new term will be a period of enterprise for Kırıkkale, Hisarcıklıoğlu presented the governor with a plaque commemorating the occasion. Governor Güner in turn gifted a historical Hittite vase to Hisarcıklıoğlu.

TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu visited the family of the martyr, Erhan Dikmen, to present his condolences.
