The Science High School built by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey in Rize was opened with a ceremony attended by the Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the Customs and Commerce Minister Hayati Yazıcı and TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu.​

Prime Minister Erdoğan, speaking at the opening ceremony, thanked TOBB for granting Rize the Science High School and its dorm which match the local architecture and wished the students success.

Prime Minister Erdoğan and TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu assessed the school after the opening.
