In his message Hisarcıklıoğlu said:

"The April 23rd National Sovereignty and Children's Day, the only holiday celebrated by children in the world, contributes to the formation of the bonds of love and friendship between the children of the world and building a world where all people will live in peace.

It is an indication of the love and trust that the Great Leader Atatürk presented this holiday to the children. Entrusted unto us, the concepts of national sovereignty, democracy and secularism will be passed on to our children.

'The Turkish nation has thrown off the darkness and birthed suns and victories of such brilliance from disasters which would drown hope from the day it put its fate in the competent and patriotic hands of the Grand National Assembly,' said the Great Leader, stating the honorable place of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey in our history. With the foundation of the Assembly sovereignty passed on to the people and the Turkish people have been reshaped by the ability to express their rights and freedoms in a democratic environment.

We are once again overjoyed to declaim once again on a day which brought together a whole nation under a single goal that no power can nor will stand before the will of the people.

We present our gratitude to the Great Leader Atatürk for presenting the Great Turkish Nation with April 23rd, a holiday for our children while also when the foundations of the Republic of Turkey are set and sovereignty is declaimed proudly. On behalf of the Turkish business world, we celebrate the April 23rd National Sovereignty and Children's Day of our Nation."
