The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey and TOBB ETU Board of Trustees Chairman M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu made a statement regarding Osmaniye TOBB Science High School student Sümeyye Nur Satin and Konya Private Merve Büyükkoyuncu Science High School student Abdullah Coşkun in achieving full grades on all categories of the YGS (the university entrance exam) and said, “Such success from our children makes us proud.”
Congratulating Sümeyye Nur Satin and Abdullah Coşkun on their success, Hisarcıklıoğlu said:
“I congratulate Sümeyye and Abdullah on their success and wish for their success on the second stage on the road to university. Such success from our children makes us proud.
The world is going through an extraordinary change. This change takes its power from the democratic life, free enterprise based economic structure and, of course, science. In order to keep up with this change, the most important characteristics all individuals need are knowledge and entrepreneurship. Those who possess an enterprising spirit in the fields of economic, science or politics will shape the future.
Entrepreneurship is having the power to bridge the gap between ‘knowing’ and ‘doing’. As the number of those who have this power increases our level of prosperity will increase, our country will become stronger and we will benefit the world and humanity. We can only imagine the benefit well educated individuals who exercise their knowledge for the benefit of others, in short, entrepreneurs will provide to our country and the world.
As TOBB we believe that, for the prosperity and happiness of our society, it is imperative for our children to receive the best education. In order to have our children become competent people who contribute to the future of our country, we provide support to education as part of our social responsibility.
On behalf of the Turkish business world, I congratulate Sümeyye, Abdullah and all of our children who succeeded in the YGS and wish them success in the LYS.”
