Gaziantep boosts morale

In Gaziantep for the Citizens Constitution Meeting, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu and Speaker of the TBMM Cemil Çiçek visited the Gaziantep Chamber of Industry after the meeting.​

 

In his speech TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that every time he visits Gaziantep, he returns with boosted morale. “When you fall into hopelessness, visit Gazianted and see hope; hope gives you motivation,” he said.

Congratulating Gaziantep for its success, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “This success is one that will be an example to all of Turkey. When we look to see the cause behind this success, there is only one thing: The mayor, municipality president, National Assembly representatives, chamber and exchange presidents work together for Gaziantep despite whatever their views may be.

Residents of Gaziantep reflect the meaning of ‘prosperity and grace in unity; anguish in dissent.’ If we wish to prosper then we must think as one.

Allah has created us all differently. We will think differently. Success comes when we are able to pool our differences together in pursuit of a shared goal.”

Touching on the importance of women entrepreneurs TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “If the participation of women to the workforce was the same as it is in Korea we would be the 13th largest economy in the world in terms of national income. If we wish to prosper we must increase the number of women entrepreneurs.”

TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu promised that on the condition that it be made Science High School, to build a school in Gaziantep.

Talking about the incentives system, Hisarcıklıoğlu said that this was the first incentives system made according to the wishes of the private sector. Stating that they support the new incentives system, Hisarcıklıoğlu said that the new incentives system is revolutionary and that the extra support for the OIZs is an advantage.

After speeches by the Speaker of the TBMM Cemil Çiçek and the Minister of Family and Social Policies Fatma Şahin, TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu and the Speaker of the TBMM Çiçek toured the Zeugma Mosaic Museum.
