In his opening speech, TOBB Board Member Engin Yeşil stated that the problems of the sector were conveyed to the relevant Ministries and institutions. Mr. Yeşil also added that the quota restriction on imports still continues and is seen as one of the biggest obstacles to the development of the sector.

TOBB Board Member Zeki Kıvanç touched upon the positive developments in the Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals (KKDİK) and thanked the Ministry representatives for their support to the sector.

At the meeting, informative presentations on KKDİK Regulation and Water Pollution Control Regulation were made by the officials of the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change and consultations were held with the Council Members.

Finally, TOBB Environment Directorate informed the Council Members about the COP28 held in Dubai between November 30, 2023 - December 12, 2023 and about Green Transformation and the meeting was concluded.
