In his opening speeches, Council President Ülkü Karakuş informed the members about the past activities of the Council and emphasized the importance of consultation with sector representatives on what can be done in the coming period.

Ali Çandır, Member of the Board of Directors of TOBB, talked about the effects of global developments such as climate change, war, increase in commodity prices, especially the European Union regulations, on our country. Işınsu Kestelli, who took the floor within the opening speeches, stated that there are problems in the sector that require urgent solutions due to cost increases and inflationary environment as well as fluctuations in exchange rate movements, and emphasized the importance of preparing a long-term road map as well as short-term problems.

After the opening speeches, the Council Members operating in different fields of the agricultural sector expressed the problems they experienced in their own fields for the sector, and exchanged views on issues such as export restrictions, accumulated VAT receivables, increasing input costs, problems in irrigation areas, wheat yield, import of agricultural products, oilseed production.
