TOBB Board Member Hakan Ülken, in his speech before the Insurance Agents Sector Council elections, stated that the insurance sector has achieved firsts and said, “You have established a structure that is a role model for other sectors. You have shown everyone how to ensure professional discipline and vocational training in the best way.”

Reminding that 16 years ago, TOBB, the Undersecretariat of Treasury and agencies established a new structure under the roof of TOBB, Hakan Ülken said, “Exactly 16 years ago, TOBB, the Undersecretariat of Treasury and agencies established a new structure under the roof of TOBB. The past 16 years have shown that we have taken a very correct step. During this time, we have made significant progress in the development of the sector. We have established the plate registration system, developed disciplinary mechanisms, and started to provide training for our own professional members thanks to SEGEM, which we established together with the Ministry of Treasury and Finance and the Association of Insurance, Reinsurance and Pension Companies of Türkiye. Currently, no other sector in our country has such a training institution. And most importantly, we established this whole structure in a very short period of time, made it operational and made it take root. Who won from this? This profession won. You won!” he said.

Ülken said that they have ensured that insurance agencies are included in the scope of KOSGEB supports with the base commission and transaction fee applications in traffic insurance and added, “The important thing is to maintain unity and solidarity, no matter who wins after the elections.”
