Number of approved Industrial Capacity Reports increased by 27.6 percent

The number of Industrial Capacity Reports approved in March 2023 increased by 27.6 percent compared to the previous month. The number of capacity reports approved by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) in March 2023 increased by 27.6 percent (1,060 units) compared to February 2023 (3,838 units) and reached 4,898 units.
Of the 4,898 capacity reports approved in March; 1,327 were in İstanbul, 388 in Ankara, 350 in İzmir, 315 in Bursa, 240 in Konya, 215 in Kocaeli, 167 in Gaziantep, 115 in Tekirdağ, 113 in Kayseri, 105 in Adana.
While the total number of active capacity reports in the TOBB Industrial Database was 88,254 in March 2022, it increased by 9.5 percent (8,359 units) to 96,613 units in March 2023.
According to the active capacity reports, the total number of employees increased by 7.2 percent (264,772 units) from 3,661,251 in March 2022 to 3,926,023 in March 2023.
Capacity reports are compiled by local Chambers and approved by TOBB for: utilization of bench, device, machine and motive force in processing raw materials, semi-and complete products, property, content, composition or shape in full or in part; for businesses that produce a new product in serial or standard, and for those who operate and operate underground resources and produce software with information technology.
