TOBB Vice President Ali Kopuz started his speech by praying for the grace of Allah upon our citizens who lost their lives in the earthquake that affected 11 provinces, including Kahramanmaraş, which occurred on February 6, 2023, and deeply shook our country, and extended his condolences to the survivors. Kopuz touched on the importance of solving the permanent housing problem as soon as possible. Vice President Kopuz, who gave information about the “TOBB Business World Housing Mobilization,” called for help for the housing to be built for our citizens who were affected by the earthquake.

Council President Murat Kolbaşı conveyed his condolences for the losses and expressed his sensitivity that everyone put their hands under the stone to heal the wounds in our country. As the Türkiye Glassware Council, they provided in-kind and financial assistance to the earthquake regions from the first moment and stated that they would continue their support in unity and solidarity. Underlining that the region will be developed together, Kolbaşı stated that the responsibilities that fall on them as a sector in this process will be made within possibilities.

Stating that unity and solidarity are needed more than ever, the Council Members discussed comprehensively what can be done as a sector in the disaster area.
