TOBB Vice President Selçuk Öztürk expressed his condolences for those who lost their lives in the earthquake centered in Kahramanmaraş and affected 11 provinces with the addition of Elazığ. He conveyed his wishes for quick recovery to the wounded and survivors. He reported that the “TOBB Business World Housing Mobilization,” had begun. In this context, he thanked Council Members for their participation and the diligent work of the Council, and called for help for the housing to be built for earthquake victim citizens.

Council President Zeki Poyraz prayed for the grace of Allah upon the citizens who lost their lives in the Kahramanmaraş-based earthquake and urgent healing to the injured. He stated that the Türkiye Climatization Council has been providing material and financial assistance to the earthquake regions from the first moment. He noted that they would continue their support in unity solidarity.

Ahmet Hayri Gökşin, Chairman of the Indoor Air Quality Workgroup, announced that the final preparations for the publication of the Limit Values Book were complete and that a meeting would be held via zoom with the associations working on Indoor Air Quality in March, and in this context, preparations were started for the organization of the Workshop in September. In addition, Gökşin gave information about the agenda of ASHRAE Industrial Round Table held on 11 October 2022.

Avcılar Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School Workgroup on Training of Trainers and Business Model in Education Commission Chairman Kadir İsa informed that the training of educators continues and company visits continue to be carried out in this context. In addition he reported that they visited IKKE Duisburg/Germany Training Center with Avcılar MTAL School Director Yakup Alp in order to improve the scope of the trainings.

Atilla Bıyıkoğlu, Chairman of the Design External Environmental Conditions Determination Workgroup, gave information about Seasonal Temperature Values TSE 3419.

Zeki Özen, Chairman of the Productivity and Quality Workgroup, provided information about the Italy Model Factory and that they will convene in June. In addition, Özen introduced the “TOBB Climate and Environment Portal,” and informed that it provides useful documents for the sector and that the Carbon Footprint calculation software will be ready soon.

Council Member Turhan Karakaya shared his information notes with the Council Members about the Energy Efficiency 2030 Vision and Strategy and the Workshop on Determining the 2nd National Energy Efficiency Action Plan organized by the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources.

Finally, Council Member Levent Aydın announced that he took part in the 22nd Ozan Panel as a speaker on “The State of the Sector in Türkiye in Particular for Alternative Refrigerants and the Necessary Steps in the Transition Process.”
