TOBB Board of Directors Member S. Selim Kandemir stated in his opening speech that the Council has increased its awareness and prestige in the eyes of public institutions since the day it was established. Stating that the Council is one of the Councils working efficiently, Kandemir thanked all the Members who contributed to the work.

In his opening speech, President Ali Kantur informed that the current issues of the sector were followed up with, transferred to the relevant institutions and meetings were held with all relevant Ministries on the issues on the agenda.

In the first agenda item of the meeting, the President of the Rare Earth Elements Institute of the Turkish Energy, Nuclear and Mineral Research Council (TENMAK) Dr. Belma Soydaş Sözer gave general information about the institution and gave information about its establishment activities. Evaluations were made about possible collaborations with the Council.

In the second agenda item, an informative presentation on the European Green Deal process was made by Gülizar Yavaş, Head of the EU Single Market and Green Deal Department of the Directorate General for International Agreements and EU Affairs of the Ministry of Trade.

The meeting, providing information about the meeting held with the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change on the Draft Regulation on Waste Management Responsible Companies, ended with the evaluations made by the Council Members.
