German Supply Chain Duty of Care Act webinar

The Information Webinar on the German Supply Chain Duty of Care Act was held online in cooperation with the Ministry of Commerce and the Ministry of Labour and Social Security with the participation of the German-Turkish Chamber of Commerce and Industry and company officials.​

The opening speech was delivered by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Advisor to the President and Head of the Real Sector Research Development and Application Department H. Çağlayan Dündar; Ministry of Trade International Agreements and EU Deputy Director General Bahar Güçlü, Ministry of Labor and Social Security General Directorate of Labor Employment Policy Department Head Suat Dede, ITU Faculty of Business Administration Lecturer Dr. Çiçek Ersoy, AHK Turkey Board Member, Mercedes-Benz Turkey Chief Legal Counsel Lawyer Gamze Gökçen Pilevne, Çetinkaya Law Office Partner Lawyer Kemal Altuğ Özgün, PAE Law Office Founding Partner Attorney Emre Keki,  Çiğdemtekin-Çakırca-Arancı Attorney Partnership Founding Partner Gamze Çiğdemtekin Özer, Arçelik Sustainability Manager Özlem Ünlüer and company officials participated.

During the meeting, consultations were held on the German Supply Chain Duty of Care Law, the scope of this law, its effects on direct and indirect suppliers, its sanctions, the evaluation of the law within the framework of the green deal, the EU Directive, working life, environmental and human rights violations, the expectations and obligations of the parent companies from the suppliers within the framework of the law and the examples of good practices, and the questions of the participants were answered.
