“The fire on Çıkrıkçılar Hill has hurt us deeply”

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu expressed his sadness at the aftermath of the fire which ravaged the historical Çıkrıkçılar Hill and stated that he believed the damage would be mended in the shortest time possible.​

 

In Mexico for the G-20 Meeting, Hisarcıklıoğlu said in his message regarding the fire on Çıkrıkçılar Hill, “The misfortune of one of the most important players in the capital’s and the country’s economy as a result of the fire, craftsmen, has deeply saddened us all.

In his message, Hisarcıklıoğlu stated:

“News that as a result of fire 12 businesses have been burned to the ground and great material damage has been sustained in one of the historic shopping districts of the capital, Ankara, Çıkrıkçılar Hill, has deeply saddened us.

Our government, our nation stands with our craftsmen. Our belief that the damage will be repaired in all expediency through unity and solidarity is firm. On behalf of the Turkish business world, I present my condolences to the craftsmen of Çıkrıkçılar Hill and the whole craftsmen community.”
