Applications for BIGG Garage start on March 12

The BIGG GARAGE Program, conducted by TOBB ETU in cooperation with Hacettepe Teknokent TTM and KTO Karatay University, will provide grant support for technology-based initiatives. Applications for the program, which has provided 13.1 million liras of support to date, can be made between March 12 and April 01, 2022.​

Applications for the new term of BIGG GARAGE, one of Turkey's most established TUBITAK BIGG programs, start on Saturday, March 12, 2022. Since 2020, one out of every two entrepreneurs who applied gained support through the BIGG GARAGE Program conducted by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB ETU) in cooperation with Hacettepe Teknokent TTM and Konya Chamber of Commerce (KTO) Karatay University. The deadline to apply to BIGG GARAGE is April 1, 2022.

- What is BIGG Garage?

BIGG Program is a non-refundable grant support program opened by TUBITAK to support projects involving “Technological R&D and Innovation.” Technology-based entrepreneurship trainings, business plan creation and project writing trainings provided within the scope of BIGG GARAGE Program and all mentoring supports are carried out free of charge by TOBB ETU TTO – GARAGE.

Since 2015, more than 1000 entrepreneurs have participated in TOBB ETU Technology Transfer Office's entrepreneurship trainings carried out online in more than 20 provinces within the scope of BIGG GARAGE Program, more than 500 entrepreneurs have participated in the mentoring program and 80 teams have been awarded 13.1 Million TL of non-refund grant support.

- Who can apply?

The application requirements for BIGG GARAGE, an R&D and innovation project that includes grant support covering thematic areas such as smart transportation, smart manufacturing systems, energy and clean technologies, communication and digital transformation, health and good life and sustainable agriculture and nutrition, are as follows: Students or graduates enrolled in any associate, undergraduate, master's or doctoral program. Not having previously, received support within the scope of the Ministry of Industry and Technology Technology Capital Support or TUBİTAK 1512 Program Phase 2. Not being involved in the partnership structure of any business as of the pre-application date.
