Within the framework of the program, Turkey's Permanent Representative to the EU was visited and sectoral problems and assimilation proposals were discussed.

In this context, TOBB, the Foundation for Economic Development (IKV), the Council of Foreign Economic Relations (DEIK), the Turkish Industrialist Businessmen's Association (TUSIAD) and UND issued a declaration titled “Global Gateway for the Solution of the EU-Asian Trade Bottleneck,” highlighting Turkey's importance in the global and regional supply chain network. With the effective direction of the EU Global Gateway Project, a declaration was issued in which the potential of all parties, especially in the interest of the EU, was emphasized in support of the Green Deal and digitalization policies.

In addition, a meeting was held hosted by the TOBB Brussels Representative Office and exchanged views on the development of bilateral road transport between Turkey and Europe. The “EU-Turkey International Network of Green Corridors NON-Governmental Organizations” meeting, which was created within the scope of the project and supported by TOBB, was also actively attended.

The published declaration and contacts and the work that will contribute to the development of trade relations between Turkey and Europe in the interest of all relevant sectors and commercial stakeholders will continue.
