Number of Industrial Capacity Reports approved in the first 2 months of 2022 increased by 17%

The number of capacity reports approved by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) in February 2022 increased by 7.4% (296 units) to 4,311 units compared to February 2021 (4,015 units).​
Of the 4,311 capacity report approved in February: 1,165 were in Istanbul, 344 in Bursa, 336 in Ankara, 230 in Izmir, 168 in Kocaeli, 164 in Konya, 143 in Gaziantep, 106 in Antalya, 103 in Adana and 95 in Kayseri.
The total number of active capacity reports in the TOBB Industrial Database increased by 8.8% (7,002 units) to 87,006 units in February 2022 from 80,004 in February 2021.
According to the Active Capacity Reports, the total number of employees increased by 8.7% (289,242 units) from 3,326,516 in February 2021 to 3,615,758 in February 2022.
Capacity reports are compiled by local Chambers and approved by TOBB for: utilization of bench, device, machine and motive force in processing raw materials, semi-and complete products, property, content, composition or shape in full or in part; for businesses that produce a new product in serial or standard, and for those who operate and operate underground resources and produce software with information technology.
