254 fairs held in 2021

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) announced the fair statistics for 2021. In 2021, a total of 254 fairs were held in turkey.​

Of the fairs organized, 249 were specialized fairs, 5 were general fairs, 154 were national fairs and 100 were international fairs.

On a sectoral basis, the most fairs took place in the field of agriculture, greenhouses, livestock and technologies with 39 fairs. This was followed by 20 fairs in the category of food, food processing, beverage, technology and industries.

The total number of visitors reached 9,533,125, including 372,833 foreigners. It was noted that the number of visitors increased by about 60% compared to last year.

The most visitors were seen at fairs in agriculture, greenhouses, livestock and technologies with 2,245,097 people; followed by fairs in the field of books and periodicals with 2,72,489 visitors.

A total of 30,595 participants participated in 254 fairs.

7,378 foreign direct or indirect exhibitors took part in the fairs.

- Istanbul is the leader with 113 fairs

Looking at the statistics of the cities where the fairs were held, Istanbul took the first place with 113 fairs, Antalya took second place with 21 fairs and Izmir took third place with 15 fairs.
