In cooperation with the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Women Entrepreneurs Board and Beko, the fourteenth roadshow covering face-to-face trainings in the designated provinces after online trainings in the Heroines of the Entrepreneurship Project, which was implemented with the support of Arçelik Retail Academy was held in İzmir Commodity Exchange Assembly Hall.

The meeting was organized with the participation of TOBB Women Entrepreneurs Council Vice President Günseli Özen, TOBB Women Entrepreneurs Council 13th Region (İzmir) Representative and TOBB Izmir Women Entrepreneurs Council President Aysel Öztezel, Arçelik Retail Academy and Beko executives. In the program, details were conveyed in a special panel for those who want to become dealers within the scope of Beko 100 Women Dealers project.

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey Women Entrepreneurs Council Vice President Günseli Özen, relaying the greetings of TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu and TOBB Women Entrepreneurs Council President Nurten Öztürk to the participants, said: “I am very excited and happy to be here. Today we are here to hold the 14th session of Beko's 100 Women Dealers project. What we are trying to do is create added value and benefit from them in the areas that our Women Entrepreneurs Council needs. The first task of the Women Entrepreneurs Council is to increase the power of existing women entrepreneurs. That's our main mission. Then we look at them and ask other women to become entrepreneurs. Third, we want to increase the number of women living in their homes in the work life. Beko 100 Women Dealers serve three different objectives of the Women Entrepreneurs Board of the Initiative's Heroines Project. So we have a purpose in this project. It is also very valuable that it is a project in accordance with the mission of TOBB Women Entrepreneurs Council. I suggest those who are here today make the most of this opportunity. If we can involve our women in the workforce, I believe this country will be where it deserves to be.”

TOBB Women Entrepreneurs Council 13th Region (İzmir) Representative and TOBB İzmir Women Entrepreneurs Council President Aysel Öztezel, started by thanking those who contributed and participated, “Today for the launch of İzmir for the Heroines of Entrepreneurship project of the Initiative, which was implemented with the support of Arçelik Retail Academy in cooperation with TOBB Women Entrepreneurs Council and Beko in order to raise awareness of the 100 Women Dealer Projects that Beko implemented in 2019 and to reach women entrepreneurs in the regions needed in dealerships. We're here together. No job, no initiative has gender. She can do her best if she wants to. Having sensitive brands for genderless workforce empowers our women to grow stronger in business life. I would also like to thank Beko for stressing that the dealership business with the 100 Women Dealers project is not a man's job and encouraging women. As TOBB İzmir Women Entrepreneurs Council, we are here to increase the number of women entrepreneurs in our city and to support their permanence in commercial life. We're among those who believe that's the most important problem. Preparing women for work and encouraging them is our top priority. It is our duty to support our women who are not limited to traditional roles, but who bring out their dreams and goals. We are there to guide women entrepreneurs in providing training, capacity building support and implementing entrepreneurial ideas. Today, we are happy to host the presentation of the project, which opens the door to a new entrepreneurship in cooperation with TOBB KGK and Beko. I'd like to thank everyone who contributed. Labor has no gender. The potential of our women working in many different sectors is very high. Our percentage of women entrepreneurs, which used to be five percent, has reached 10% today. However, 35% of women working in their own businesses and 30% of startups in the European Union belong to women. So we have a long way to go, a long way to go and a lot of work to do.”

Beko Sales Director Burak Bilgisel said, “As Beko, we always support and stand by women's participation in the business world. We are happy to be in İzmir with the face-to-face trainings we would love to carry out within the scope of the Heroines of Entrepreneurship Project in this way that we aim to support and empower entrepreneurial women. The primary goal of this project is to be able to fill their courage in business life with education and to help women get their rightful place in business life in a safe, competitive and equipped way. Since it is integrated with our 100 Women Dealers Project, I would like to share that we will be happy to join us that our door is open to the entrepreneurial women of the Aegean who want to become Beko dealers after the trainings."
