In his opening speech, Cengiz DelibaÅŸ reminded that Turkey Sector Councils have been operating since 2006 and stressed that parliaments are the platform that brings together public, private and sectoral NGOs on a legal basis. DelibaÅŸ stated that every problem submitted to TOBB from chamber-exchanges and sector councils during the pandemic process was followed up with the relevant Ministries and emphasized that the process is dynamic and that these difficult days will be overcome in unity.

At the meeting, held with the participation of senior representatives of private sector and non-governmental organizations, Zeynep Bodur Okyay, Chair of the Board of Directors of Kale Seramik Çanakkale Kalebodur Ceramic Industry Inc., and Ece Bathroom Utensils San. and Tic. A.Ş Chair Erdem Çenesiz was elected unanimously.

Council President Zeynep Bodur Okyay thanked the members and stressed that the structure of the Council is a great power to take the sector forward when acting together. Okyay stated that they believe that with the effective use of the Council, they will do good work. Afterwards, Deputy Speaker Erdem Çenesiz thanked Council Members and informed them about the planned works under TOBB’s umbrella and announced that workshops will be held before the Ministries during the new working period.
