Attending the Tax Record Holders Awards Ceremony held by the Şırnak Chamber of Commerce and Industry, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “If you want to prosper, you have to open the way for it. There is only one remedy trade needs and that is peace. We all have parts to play in this. We must not alienate each other and love each other for the sake of Allah, when we can disregard the faults of others and see their good sides, we will prosper.”

TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “We have a beautiful saying, ‘Grace and prosperity in unity, anguish in dissent.’ Those who wish to find grace and prosperity will not abandon unity. We will think differently, we will make our differences into wealth.

My request from my brothers is to see not the faults but the good in each other. If we can do this we can succeed. If you unite you will succeed. You’ve got honey, rugs and carpets. Olives, the symbol of prosperity and fig, pomegranate. But for you to profit from these we need to brand them as Şırnak figs, Şırnak olives and Şırnak honey.”

Stating that as of now, Turkey is the fastest growing country in the world according to the data from the first 9 months, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “We have become a country to be envied. We have found employment for 1.3 million people in 9 months. This is your success. Now, if Turkey wants to be strong, if Turkey wants its economy to be strong, and better democracy, we must reconstruct the system.

We keep changing laws. In my youth this country was the world’s 27th largest economy; our generation brought that up to 17th. Now we have a goal; to be in the top 10 in the next 12 years. In order to do this we need to reconstruct the system.

The foundation of that reconstruction lies in a new constitution. Starting with a new constitution we can stop harping on the same string and actually enact the reforms we’ve been talking about then we could be among the top 10 economies of the world in 12 years. Our per capita income will reach 25,000 dollars. But we have to start with the constitution. I am very hopeful in this regard. All the parties with presence in the parliament have given us their word. For the first time they did something right by not looking at majority and establishing a council of equal participation.

Now I say to them: Give me what rights a German has in Germany regarding his government. I am no less than them but why should I have any less rights than a citizen in Germany? The new system will focus on the individual. In our culture it is said that the salvation of one is the salvation of all. This means our culture and the understanding of the new world is overlapping. If we achieve this, no one can hold us back. The restructuring of the system is needed for unity, solidarity, fraternity and progress. Hopefully our parliament will do this.

Afterwards, we want a new political parties and election legislation where we can truly make our own choices, where we can chose our own representatives instead of voting on a list presented to us by parties.

Turkey of 30 years ago exported a total of 3 billion Dollars. Today, Şırnak by itself exports 1 billion Dollars. Let us play on a level field and give us the same things as our competitors and we will take this country to the top in 12 years. Would that be enough? We deserve better. We deserve number 1.
