The International Health Tourism Council hosted International Service Trade General Manager Öztelli

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) International Health Tourism Council meeting was held via video conference to consult on the current situation of the sector and determine the roadmap of health tourism under the chairmanship of Council President Dr. Özgür Öztan with the participation of TOBB Board Member Mahmut Özgener.​

Dr. Emre Orhan Öztelli, General Manager of International Service Trade established within the Ministry of Commerce, Ali Alperen Kaç, Deputy General Manager, and Tarık Aksoy, Head of the Department, attended the Council meeting.

In his opening speech, Özgener emphasized that the Council will play an important role for the attraction of our country in the field of international health tourism and increasing the share of patients, and that the flagship of health tourism at the point of coordination with the public is the International Health Tourism Council of Turkey.

Council President Dr. Özgür Öztan shared the work done on behalf of the Council with the Members of Council since the inauguration of the Council. At the Consultation Meeting of the Sector Councils, held with the participation of Trade Minister Mehmet Muş, he stated that the Council was introduced and the main problems were shared. He explained that the sector, which is involved in foreign exchange-earning service trade supports and support for the export of goods but is not included in branding support, should receive support coverage and that public support has been requested for the complication insurance support that has been carried out.

General Manager of International Service Trade Dr. Emre Orhan Öztelli said in his speech; he gave the good news that they are a General Directorate created to support and serve the sector, that the necessary infrastructure works are being carried out rapidly in the field of health tourism, the legislation and support required to increase the revenues of international health tourism, and that they will be shared with the sector as soon as possible.

Alperen Kaç, Deputy General Manager of International Service Trade, said, “I know our aim is to increase Turkey's health tourism potential, I want you to know that we want to do what we want to do in the field of health tourism with a young and dynamic staff, and we will try to meet the expectations of the sector with the support of the sector.”
