TOBB Turkey International Health Tourism Council established

The International Health Tourism Council of Turkey was established as the 64th Sector Council within the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB).​

Dr. Özgür Öztan, co-founder of HLC Plastik, Reconstructive Surgery Center, was elected as the Council President.

The first electoral meeting of the Council was held via video conference to elect the Presidential Council and to consult on the current issues of the sector under the chairmanship of TOBB Board Member Mahmut Özgener.

In his speech, Özgener explained the purpose of the establishment of sector councils and the principles of work. Stating that sectoral councils are an effective mechanism working in cooperation with the public, Mahmut Özgener said, “Our Turkey International Health Tourism Council will play an important role in making our country a center of attraction in the field of international health tourism and increasing patient share with its work in this regard.”

- Election of the Presidential Council

After the opening speech, the election of the Presidential Council was held. HLC Plastik, Reconstructive Surgery Center co-founder Dr. Özgür Öztan was elected as the Council President and Genco Çetinkanat, Deputy General Manager of Güven Hospital, was elected as Council Vice President.

The Turkey International Health Tourism Council, formed with the contributions of hospitals, clinics and centers operating in the branches of IVF, plastic surgery, hair transplantation, eye hospitals, dental outpatient clinics, obesity surgery, organ transplantation, oncological treatments, thermal treatments, physical therapy, patient and elderly care services, and TÜRSAB, will also contribute to determining the roadmap in Turkey's branding process in this field.
